Peter Sintz needed only one NCAA Championship to put his name in the record books, but he returned for two more to give him seven All-American honors. In 1960, he anchored the 400 medley relay, the first relay team to win an NCAA Championship. Sintz proved his worth as an individual also, finishing third in the 220 freestyle, third in the 440 freestyle and seventh in the 1500 meter freestyle.
